Awareness Through Movement (ATM)
In Awareness Through Movement (ATM) classes learn how you can have a more conscious experience of your body, mind and movement. You are verbally guided, directing your attention and movement. Movement is slow, small and safe. Identify your habits of moving, sensing, thinking and feeling. Discover new/renewed movement possibilities beyond habits. Explore easier ways of moving and being. Learn skills to live each day more mindfully, actively and vitally. Become your own authority on YOU!
You don't need to be fit or flexible to join us. Consistency in attendance maximises sustainable change. ** You need to be able to get up and down from the floor independently. You can use a chair for assistance.
When attending your first class, arrive 15 minutes early so that we can discuss your interests and reasons for attending. It will be a great help to both of us.
